Everything you need to know about renting bikes, daypacks, and hammocks at Docksta Havet Base Camp.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT

  • Q1: Do I need to pay a deposit?
    A: No. We operate on trust. Payment is due at pickup via Swish, card, or cash. No hidden fees, no deposit required.

  • Q2: What payment methods do you accept?
    A: Swish (Sweden), credit/debit card (iZettle), or cash (SEK or Euro). All methods accepted at pickup.

  • Q3: Can I pay online in advance?
    A: Not yet, but you can reserve via WhatsApp and pay at pickup. For groups of 5+, we can arrange advance payment if needed.

 


BOOKING & CANCELLATION

  • Q4: Do I need to book in advance?
    A: For solo travelers or small groups (2-4 people), no. Just show up. For groups of 5+, message us on WhatsApp to guarantee availability.

  • Q5: What if I need to cancel my booking?
    A: Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. Message us on WhatsApp or email. We'll confirm immediately. No questions asked.

  • Q6: What if I cancel last-minute (within 24 hours)?
    A: We understand plans change. Contact us anyway—we'll do our best to help. Weather cancellations? Always free.

  • Q7: What if I don't show up (no-show)?
    A: We'll hold your gear for 1 hour after scheduled pickup time, then release it for other guests. Message us if you're delayed.

 


RENTAL DURATION & EXTENSION

  • Q8: Can I rent for multiple days?
    A: Yes! Daily rates apply. Multi-day rentals (3+ days) get 15% discount.

  • Q9: Can I extend my rental?
    A: Yes! Message us on WhatsApp or let us know when you return. We'll extend if bikes are available. You'll pay the additional day(s) at the daily rate.

  • Q10: Can I pick up gear the night before?
    A: Yes, if arranged in advance. Message us on WhatsApp to coordinate evening pickup. This works especially well for early morning adventures.

 


DAMAGE & LIABILITY

  • Q11: What if I damage the bike or gear?
    A: We trust you. Normal wear and tear? No problem. Accidents happen? We'll sort it. We're not in the business of penalizing accidents. Contact us and we'll figure it out.

  • Q12: What if I lose or damage something valuable?
    A: Be honest with us. We'll assess the situation. For theft or intentional damage, we may ask for compensation, but we're reasonable and fair.

  • Q13: What's covered if the bike breaks during my rental?
    A: We maintain our bikes well. If something breaks due to normal use, we'll assist in finding local repair help or provide a replacement bike.

 


LOGISTICS & PICKUP

  • Q14: What if I arrive late for pickup?
    A: No problem. Message us on WhatsApp with your updated arrival time. We're flexible and will adjust.

  • Q15: Can I leave my car parked while I bike?
    A: Yes! Parking is free when you rent a bike. Your car is safe in our assigned lot.

  • Q16: What if the weather is bad?
    A: We'll be honest about conditions. Light rain? Sometimes it adds to the adventure. Heavy rain or storms? We'll help you decide or suggest waiting it out at the Club House.

  • Q17: What information do you need when I book?
    A: Just tell us:

    • What you want to rent (bike, daypack, hammock, kit)

    • How many people

    • Pickup date and approximate time

    • Your name and contact (WhatsApp or email)

 


SPECIAL CASES

  • Q18: Can I rent if I'm not staying at Docksta Havet?
    A: Absolutely! Our rental service is for everyone—Airbnb guests, marina sailors, and external visitors.

  • Q19: Can I combine bike rental with other experiences?
    A: Absolutely. Add a Skogspaus forest immersion, book an Airbnb stay, or combine with marina mooring. It's all possible.

  • Q20: Do you offer gift vouchers?
    A: Not yet, but we're working on it! For now, you can book on behalf of someone else and let us know their name when you contact us.

 


CANCELLATION POLICY (DETAILED)

  • Free Cancellation:
    Cancel up to 24 hours before pickup for a full refund or reschedule. No questions asked.

  • Last-Minute Cancellation (Within 24 Hours):
    We understand plans change. Contact us anyway—we'll do our best to accommodate. Weather-related cancellations are always free.

  • No-Show Policy:
    We'll hold your gear for 1 hour after scheduled pickup time. After that, we release it for other guests. If you're running late, message us on WhatsApp and we'll adjust.

  • Weather Cancellation:
    Full flexibility. If weather conditions are unsafe (heavy rain, storms, high winds), we'll reschedule or refund—no questions asked. Your safety is our priority.

  • How to Cancel:
    Message us on WhatsApp or email us. We'll confirm your cancellation immediately.

 


PAYMENT METHODS (DETAILED)

  • Accepted Payment Methods:

  • - Swish (Sweden): Fastest and most convenient for Swedish residents. Pay at pickup.
    - Credit/Debit Card (iZettle): We accept Visa, Mastercard, and other major cards. Pay at pickup.
    - Cash (SEK or Euro): We accept both Swedish Kronor and Euro. Pay at pickup.

  • No Deposit Required:
    We operate on trust. Payment is due at pickup. No hidden fees, no advance payment, no deposit.

  • Advance Payment (Groups 5+):
    For large groups, we can arrange advance payment via bank transfer if needed. Contact us to arrange.
